The basics

I grew up with three sisters in Winterthur and moved to Bern eight years ago. I studied communication and European Studies at the University of Fribourg, in Montreal and Brussels (I love this city!). Now I work as a journalist in Bern and when I am not on my yoga mat, I am mostly writing or doing some research for a new story.

Unnecessary knowledge

I love long animals (such as sausage dogs or Indian ducks). I have a very bad memory for names (sorry!) but a very good one for moments. I once worked for the local radio station. Never understood why. My radio-voice is terrible. Luckily, I have been told I have a nice yoga voice, though. I like to be upside-down, which makes me a big fan of Acro Yoga.

My Yoga journey

Physical movement has always played a big role in my life: I did figure skating and gymnastics for a very long time, and I took dance classes because I love moving my body to music. My relationship with yoga became more intense when I first went to a yoga studio. I felt like I was in a cocoon. From then on, I knew that I could walk through that door and everything outside would become unimportant for a while. There was only me and my mat. It was and is my safe space. In the beginning, the physical aspects of Yoga dominated my practice. But soon I realized what Yoga can do to my mind and to my breath. Yoga for me is a door to transformation. Taking the time to follow my breath has helped me a lot. Not only on my mat, but also in my daily life. I love adding a little playfulness to my practice, trying new Asanas and new transitions. I am not looking for the perfect pose, rather for a practice that makes me feel at home.

Me as a teacher

I celebrate the individuality of each of you, so making a class accessible for everyone is one of my keys. My classes are playful, creative and flowing, and a platform to discover your own body and mind. You will be given the time to explore and to try new things out. I love movements with no beginning and no end. One of the most beautiful compliments I have ever received was from my mother: She told me once that I was making her life a little easier. That is exactly what I hope to offer you in my classes: moments of lightness, confidence, playfulness and the ability to fully enjoy the here and now. I teach mainly in English, but I can also teach in German or French. I have been a certified Yoga Teacher since May 2022.

What my students say about me

«Thank you so much for your great yoga classes. I find it incredible how you manage to frame your classes with a theme, which makes it even easy to dive into your classes. Sometimes the practice is gentle and easy, sometimes quite strenuous. You clearly guide your students through each movement and even if it’s physically demanding, you never lose your breath and your smile.»
